COME KAYAKING, SNORKELING AND SEE THE DOLPHINS WITH US: Not technically a sailing tour, but equally exciting is the 4 hour kayaking adventure from The Grand Hotel in Labrador, across the calm Gold Coast Broadwater to Wavebreak Island. Run by Eco Tours this trip is for the novice to the experienced and leaves early (around 7.15 am) from Harley Pontoon, stopping for a cereal and fruit breakfast on the western side of the South Stradbroke Island where many keen surfers leave their boats before they take the short walk across the other side to one of the best surf spots on the east coast.
SO MUCH TO SEE AND DO: On this great kayaking tour you are almost guaranteed to see dolphins fairly close-by, but one of the highlights of the trip is the snorkeling in the crystal clear waters where a myriad of small colourful fish come to greet the handful of pellets thrown out by the tour guide. This is a recommended trip to do at least once, taking a waterproof camera, swimmers, towel, water and a hat. Life Jackets are supplied.
