Half Day Boat Trip

The Corner Inlet Experience – cruise around Sunday Island Nooramunga Marine and Coastal Park.

Our half day cruise on-board Port Albert’s luxury 50ft Catamaran travels approx. 26 kilometres (14 Nautical miles) and shows you through the precious marine environment of the Corner Inlet Coastal Park. This special marine park has strong cultural significance and is home to a number of remote offshore islands that provide important breeding areas for Australian fur seals and sea birds.

During this 3.5 hour cruise, you will be able to view a delightful variety of bird life, seagrass meadows and parts of the coastal wilderness of Wilsons Promontory. These areas have been carefully protected in order to safeguard the unique range of marine plants, animals and habitat found here. Around 90% of these species are found nowhere else on the planet.

Relax on the deck and enjoy an entertaining, and educational narrative of the area. Your skipper and steward will tell you more of the fascinating history of how Port Albert was discovered in 1841 and why the wreckage of the Clonmel (near the entrance to Port Albert) is so significant.

An exceptional morning or afternoon tea is served on-board, specially prepared from the finest, fresh ingredients by the chef from Port Albert’s most prestigious ‘wildfish‘ restaurant. Along with your choice from a selection of quality beverages, this cruise is bound to be one you’ll remember for years to come.
